Stephen Quake

Stephen Quake is the Lee Otterson Professor of Bioengineering and Applied Physics at Stanford University and serves as the Head of Science at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI), overseeing science grant programs, technology development, and the CZ Biohub Network. His career spans foundational roles in genomics and biomedical innovation.

Research Interests include:

• Single-cell genomics to characterize cellular diversity and tumor evolution
• Immune repertoire analysis through antibody diversity mechanisms
• Liquid biopsy development for non-invasive diagnostics
