Stephen Parman is a Professor of Earth, Environmental, and Planetary Sciences at Brown University. He holds affiliations within the Department of Earth, Environmental, and Planetary Sciences and is associated with the High-Pressure Lab. Previously, he served as a Lecturer at Durham University (UK) and earned his Ph.D. in Geology and Geochemistry from MIT (2001). His research focuses on volatiles in Earth's interior, early Earth magmas, and mantle evolution, with recent work challenging traditional models through studies of noble gas solubility and mantle dynamics.
