Stephen Mark Chrzanowski

Stephen Mark Chrzanowski, MD, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology (Neuromuscular Division) at UMass Chan Medical School, affiliated with the T.H. Chan School of Medicine. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and earned both his MD and PhD in Physiology from the University of Florida College of Medicine.

His research focuses on neuromuscular disorders, with particular emphasis on Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy pathogenesis and therapeutic interventions. Additional research domains include medical imaging innovations (MRI, optical imaging, electrical impedance myography), pediatric neurological conditions, gene editing applications in neurology, and biomarker development.
