Dr. Stephen J. Porth is a Professor of Management at the Haub School of Business, Saint Joseph's University (SJU), and serves as the NCAA Faculty Athletics Representative (FAR). He previously chaired the Management, Food Marketing, and Pharmaceutical Marketing departments, and held roles as Associate Dean and Executive Director of graduate programs. He is Senior Editor of the Journal of Jesuit Business Education and active in governance boards like Nutritional Development Services and Hoops 4 Hope Philadelphia.
Education: BS from Saint Joseph's University, MBA from Drexel University, and PhD from Temple University.
Research focuses on strategy, food landscapes, leadership, and ethics. He authored Strategic Management: A Cross-Functional Approach (6th ed., translated into Chinese) and consults on leadership development and strategic management.
Awards include the Lindback Award for Teaching Excellence. He contributes to Jesuit business education initiatives through the Board of Colleagues in Jesuit Business Education and IgnitEd governance.
