Stephen Greeley is a Lecturer of English Composition and Literature at the College of Staten Island (CSI), where he has taught for 20 years. He also taught for a decade at St. John’s University, Staten Island Campus. Greeley emphasizes critical dialogue and the Socratic method in his classrooms, prioritizing both encouragement and intellectual challenge. His academic interests include technology’s cultural and intellectual impact, popular culture, education systems, and modern work dynamics.
He holds an MA and BA in English, both from CSI. His scholarship explores intersections between technology and society, as seen in his 2012 contribution to The Walking Dead and Philosophy and his 2015 article in The Imaginative Conservative. Greeley’s work reflects a commitment to interrogating how technological and cultural shifts shape human thought and institutional practices.
