Stephen Gould

Stephen Gould is a Professor of Computer Science at the Australian National University (ANU) and an Australian Research Council (ARC) Future Fellow. He holds affiliations with Amazon as an Amazon Scholar and previously led the ARC Centre of Excellence in Robotic Vision. His research focuses on computer and robotic vision, machine learning, and optimization, with a particular emphasis on applying these techniques to geometric and semantic scene understanding.

Education: BSc in Mathematics and Computer Science (University of Sydney, 1994), BE in Electrical Engineering (University of Sydney, 1996), MS in Electrical Engineering (Stanford University, 1998), and PhD in Computer Science (Stanford University, 2010).
