Stephen Goodall is a Professor and Deputy Director at the Centre for Health Economics Research and Evaluation (CHERE) within the Faculty of Health at University of Technology Sydney. He leads a large research team conducting multi-million dollar government-commissioned economic evaluations of medical technologies, diagnostic tests, and healthcare services.
- PhD in Vascular Medicine (2002) and Master of Health Economics (University of York)
- Specializes in health technology assessment, economic modeling, and equity analysis
His recent research focuses on:
- Cost-effectiveness of CAR-T therapies considering treatment delays
- Access pathways for rare disease treatments
- Productivity loss valuation methods in public health
- Integration of palliative care in cancer treatment
- SSB taxation policy analysis in Thailand
- Home energy upgrades for vulnerable populations
He has contributed to over 281 research outputs and leads major grants including:
- MRFF Clinical Trials Activity Grant (Neurological Disorders, 2025-2030)
- HCF Research Translation Grant (Cardiac arrhythmia monitoring, 2025-2028)
