Research Interests center on Modeling counter-UAS and systems engineering applications in military operations. His work explores the integration of model-based systems engineering (MBSE) into operational mission architecture and systems-of-systems design. Gillespie's research addresses dynamic requirements in technology development and feasibility analysis for complex military systems.
Publication Trends reveal a focus on MBSE, military technology, and operational research. His articles from 2016-2022 highlight the use of systems engineering in counter-UAS modeling, tradespace exploration for architectures, and integrating data/model management for complex military systems. The works span feasibility assessments, case studies, and framework development for infantry training and TALOS system integration.
