Stephen D. Elliott is Professor of Pastoral Ministry & Church Planting and Program Director at Kingswood University. With over 22 years of experience planting and pastoring a dynamic church in Ottawa that grew to 1,300 members, he integrates practical ministry insights with academic rigor. His research focuses on church health, leadership development, and discipleship frameworks.
Education includes a D.Min. in Leadership and Preaching from Asbury Theological Seminary (2007) and a B.A. in Religion from Kingswood University (1983). Elliott teaches courses including Church Health, Growth & Leadership; Homiletics; and Principles and Practices of Discipleship.
Research interests center on revitalizing church practices through biblically grounded leadership models and community-focused ministries. His publications analyze traits of thriving congregations and the role of spiritual dynamics in church growth.
