Dr. Stephen C Scholes is a Senior Lecturer in Education at Queen Margaret University's Psychology, Sociology and Education division. He holds an MEd with Distinction from University of Glasgow and is currently completing a PhD on inspection and Religious Education in Scotland at the same institution.
His research examines religious education policy, inspection systems, and curriculum development in Scottish schools. Scholes serves on the Management Board of the Scottish Teachers Association of Religious and Moral Education.
Publications focus on historical and contemporary analysis of religious education, with recent work exploring inspection documentation, curriculum change, and social justice dimensions. No awards or student advising are documented.
