Stephen Brown is a Senior Lecturer in the Computer Science Department at Maynooth University. He holds a B.Eng. from Trinity College Dublin (TCD) and an M.Sc. from Trinity College Dublin, sponsored by Digital, for which he received the RDS ASTRA award. Prior to academia, he worked in industry at Digital in roles spanning factory automation, networking product development, and product management in Ireland and the US. He has served as Acting Head of Department for four years and as Director of the Innovation Value Institute (IVI). His research focuses on wireless sensor networks, blending academic and industrial expertise.
