Stephen Boyles

Stephen Boyles holds the Clyde E. Lee Endowed Professorship in Transportation Engineering at UT Austin. His research develops network models for transportation systems including traffic assignment, parking, electric vehicles, and evacuation planning.

Authored the open-access textbook 'Transportation Network Analysis' covering static and dynamic traffic assignment. Research group develops computational tools including tap-b solver for large-scale networks. Teaches graduate courses on optimization, network analysis, and dynamic systems.

Awards include endowed professorship and NSF funding. Current projects examine hurricane evacuation modeling, electric vehicle grid integration, and network partitioning methods.
