Stephen Bennett is a Lecturer in Humanities specializing in Media Practice at the Interdisciplinary Institute for the Humanities, University of East Anglia (UEA), where he teaches modules on Media in Practice, Creative and Cultural Industries, and VIDEOGAMES: THEORY, PRACTICE AND RECEPTION. He supervises Level 6 creative practice students and serves as the academic lead for the faculty's Media Suite. He is also actively involved in the UEA VR user group and Adobe creative campus working group.

His publications reflect a strong interdisciplinary focus, particularly in videogame studies, digital preservation, and experimental music production. Key themes include remastered games, digital materiality, and creative audio projects.

He is a key member of the UEA VR user group and the Adobe creative campus working group, supporting emerging technologies in teaching and research.
