Stephen Alty

Dr. Stephen Alty is the Head of the Department of Electronic Engineering at Royal Holloway, University of London. His research focuses on signal processing, machine learning, and biomedical applications. He has a strong background in advancing engineering education through technology-enhanced learning and open hardware projects. Alty holds a PhD in Electronic Engineering from Liverpool John Moores University (1998) and a BEng(Hons) from the University of Liverpool (1992). He is also a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (2016).
