Stephanie Yerkovich is an Associate Professor and Principal Research Fellow at the School of Medicine, Faculty of Health, Queensland University of Technology (QUT). Her research focuses on pediatric chronic cough and bronchiectasis, leveraging gene expression analysis to identify predictive biomarkers for disease outcomes. She holds a PhD from the University of Western Australia and an MBiostats from the University of Queensland.
Key research areas include pediatric respiratory disease mechanisms, clinical trial design for respiratory therapies, and translational research to improve diagnostic and treatment protocols. Her work integrates genomic, clinical, and epidemiological approaches to address unmet needs in pediatric pulmonology.
Publications span randomized controlled trials (e.g., BETTER trial for bronchiectasis treatment), systematic reviews on antibiotic regimens and pulmonary outcomes, and protocols for ICU environmental interventions.
