Stephanie Werner is a Professor of Geophysics and Planetary Sciences at the University of Oslo, Norway, and Co-Director of the Centre for Planetary Habitability (PHAB), a Norwegian Centre of Excellence. She previously served as Professor at CEED (Centre for Earth Evolution and Dynamics) and as Director of the Norwegian Research School Dynamics and Evolution of Earth and Planets. Her research spans planetary formation, cratering chronology, and exoplanetary systems.

- Diploma in Geophysics (Christian-Albrechts-Universität Kiel, 1999)
Her research focuses on planetary evolution, remote sensing, cratering processes, and exoplanet systems. Recent work includes lunar cratering revisions and Martian meteorite source analysis. Publications include 103 refereed articles (7 in Nature/Science/PNAS) and an edited book, with significant citations in both Google Scholar (8272) and Scopus (4344).
Scientific awards include election as Fellow of the Norwegian Academy of Sciences and Letters (2019) and a named asteroid (11449 StephWerner, 2006). She has led major projects like the Mars Analogues Library (ESA-PRODEX) and the Planetary Terrestrial Analogues Library (EU H2020) and held leadership roles in ESA teams.
