Stephanie Nolen serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Vanderbilt University's School of Engineering and holds an affiliate appointment at the Vanderbilt Institute for Surgery and Engineering (VISE).
Her research specializes in optical imaging and diagnostic imaging, with significant focus on image-guided interventions for clinical applications. She leads the Diagnostic Imaging and Image-Guided Interventions (DIIGI) Laboratory, which develops advanced imaging technologies to enhance medical diagnostics and surgical precision.
The DIIGI Laboratory operates within Vanderbilt's biomedical engineering ecosystem, maintaining strong ties to VISE for translational research in surgical imaging. Current collaborations include work with faculty such as Yuankai Kenny Tao on interdisciplinary imaging projects.
