Stephanie Nichols-Burns

Stephanie Nichols-Burns, PhD, is an Associate Research Scientist and IVF Laboratory Director of Research at Yale School of Medicine’s Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences. She holds a PhD from the University of New Orleans and has extensive experience in reproductive biology, including ovarian tissue cryopreservation and non-human primate models of reproductive senescence. Dr. Nichols-Burns leads research in assisted reproductive technologies (ART), fertility preservation, and IVF optimization. She is actively involved in professional organizations like ASRM and SART, serving on key committees. Her work bridges clinical and laboratory advancements, aiming to enhance IVF success rates and address challenges in reproductive medicine. Current research focuses on ART in space environments, embryo morphokinetics, and age-related fertility decline. Collaborations emphasize translational science to improve patient outcomes.
