Stephanie May

Dr. Stephanie May serves as an Honorary Lecturer in the School of Cancer Sciences and maintains a primary research affiliation with the CRUK Beatson Institute. Her academic role centers on advancing cancer research through molecular investigations of liver biology, regeneration mechanisms, and oncogenic processes, with consistent contributions to high-impact publications spanning 2018-2025.

Her research program critically examines hepatocellular carcinoma development, liver regeneration pathways, and metabolic regulation in cancer. Using genetically engineered mouse models and human tissue analyses, she investigates key molecular players including AXIN2⁺ hepatocytes, glutamine synthetase, and ploidy dynamics.
