Dr. Stephanie Ling is an NIHR Clinical Lecturer in the Division of Musculoskeletal & Dermatological Sciences at The University of Manchester. Her work focuses on optimizing biologic therapy personalization in inflammatory arthritis, integrating clinical and molecular data to improve patient outcomes. She holds a PhD from the same university (2022) and prior clinical training including a Master of Research in Clinical Sciences (2010) and medical degree (2011).
Her research combines pharmacokinetic modeling, proteomics, and clinical trial design to address unmet needs in rheumatoid arthritis management. Key interests include biomarker discovery for treatment response prediction and optimizing dosing regimens for biosimilars. She contributes to the UN Sustainable Development Goals through improving healthcare quality.
Recent studies explore monocyte counts' role in biological DMARD non-response, proteomic biomarkers for etanercept efficacy, and biosimilar dosing simulations. She collaborates internationally and actively participates in professional organizations like the British Society for Rheumatology.
Her academic memberships include roles in EMEUNET and BSR committees, reflecting her commitment to advancing rheumatology education and research. Media contributions highlight her work's societal impact, including pioneering arthritis research and patient-centered innovations.
