Stephanie Krick, Ph.D., is a Senior Lecturer and Undergraduate Academic Program Coordinator in the School of Public Administration at the University of Central Florida's College of Community Innovation and Education. She oversees undergraduate programs in public administration, nonprofit management, emergency management, and urban/ regional planning. Her roles include directing curriculum development and advising the Nonprofit Knights Student Association. Dr. Krick holds a PhD in Public Affairs (UCF) and a Master's in Public Administration (Troy State University).
Her research focuses on nonprofit sector resilience during economic crises, ethical practices in nonprofits, and volunteerism strategies. She has published widely on topics including nonprofit survival during the Great Recession, entrepreneurial approaches to financial sustainability, and ideological alignment in nonprofit operations. Dr. Krick serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Nonprofit Education and Leadership and previously held national board positions with the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance.
Her professional background includes over 20 years of experience in Florida and Washington, D.C., spanning public sector roles and nonprofit leadership. She actively advises students and collaborates on interdisciplinary projects addressing urban challenges and community development. Her work bridges academic research with practical applications in governance and nonprofit management.
