Stephanie Felder, PhD, LCSW, CEM, CAC-II, is a Senior Fellow at Tulane University's Disaster Resilience Leadership Academy. She serves as Adjunct Professor for Tulane's Social Work doctoral and Disaster Resilience Leadership Studies programs. Currently, she is the Traumatic Brain Injury Special Projects Lead at the Defense Health Agency's Traumatic Brain Injury Center of Excellence and a Health Advisor for Uniformed Services University's National Center for Disaster Medicine and Public Health. Her career spans 12 years of leadership in the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps, with over 10 emergency deployments, including roles during the NYC Javits Center COVID-19 response and humanitarian border crises.

Research Interests: Dr. Felder focuses on clinical social work in disaster contexts, military/veteran mental health, homelessness among female veterans, social determinants of health, and racial justice frameworks. Her work bridges behavioral health advocacy with systemic interventions for economically oppressed communities.

Grants & Community Roles: She has managed federal grants for HIV/AIDS services and co-founded the Minnesota Resilient Initiative. As a Board Director of the American Board of Clinical Social Work, she advances professional standards in social work.
Labs & Teams: Dr. Felder leads the pioneering Disaster Relief Social Work Curriculum at the Council of Social Work Education and directed a Joint Service Behavioral Health Team of 30+ members during the pandemic.
