Stephanie Cox is a Senior Lecturer in French and Francophone Studies at Carleton University, where she has been teaching since 2007. Her work focuses on exploring identity through art, particularly via collaborative projects and community-driven initiatives. She actively engages in cultural programming, including organizing art exhibits and musical events with local and international artists.
- Education: MA from Bowling Green State University; PhD from University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
Her teaching spans French language courses (FREN 101–103) and cross-cultural education (CCST 100). She co-creates projects with individuals whose life stories inspire resilience and innovation, often centering on marginalized voices like those of Lulu White, Nokutela, and Finita la Gringa. Her work bridges academia and community through comic books, cultural symposiums, and partnerships with artists and scholars such as 2Fik, David Garneau, and Cajun band Lost Bayou Ramblers.
