Stephanie Budge is a Professor and Director of Clinical Training in the Department of Counseling Psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She holds affiliations with the Institute for Diversity Science and Gender and Women’s Studies. Her work focuses on improving LGBTQ+ mental health, particularly for Two Spirit, transgender, and nonbinary (2STNB) populations, with an emphasis on clinical training, minority stress reduction, and psychotherapy interventions. Dr. Budge founded the Trans CARE Collaborative to advance research and advocacy for 2STNB communities and leads the HOPE Study, a clinical trial evaluating telehealth interventions for transgender clients of color.
