Stephan Ariyan is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Connecticut’s School of Business, where he teaches BLAW 5750: Ethics and Compliance in the Global Organization and FNCE 5343: Legal and Ethical Issues in Financial Risk Management. He currently serves as Global Compliance Counsel for Aramco Trading Americas, part of Saudi Aramco, one of the world’s largest energy companies. Prior roles include Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer at Pearson Group (UK), Chief Legal Officer at Atomyze LLC (a blockchain fintech firm), and Chief Compliance Counsel/Officer at Olam International Limited (Singapore). With over 25 years of experience, he advises executive leadership on legal, regulatory, and compliance matters across energy, banking, fintech, and derivatives trading sectors.
