Sten Runar Ludvigsen is a Professor in Learning and Digitalization at the Department of Education, Faculty of Educational Sciences, University of Oslo. With a PhD in educational sciences (1998), his research spans computer-supported collaborative learning (CSCL), digital learning environments, and knowledge co-construction in educational and workplace settings. He has led major Norwegian educational reforms (NOU 2014:7 and NOU 2015:8) and directed national research initiatives like NATED.

- Previous Roles: Dean (2017-2020), Professor in Medical Education (2013-2014), Director at InterMedia (2004-2009)
Research Interests: Focus on digital tools for collaborative learning, domain-specific and generic knowledge acquisition, and educational technology's impact on pedagogy. His work integrates qualitative and mixed-method approaches.
Recent Trends: Analysis of post-pandemic learning environments, dual digitalization frameworks, and microblogging in classrooms reveals a focus on adaptive learning technologies and participatory digital methods.
