Stelian Alexandru BORZ

Stelian Alexandru BORZ is a Professor at the Department of Forest Engineering, Forest Management Planning and Terrestrial Measurements within the Faculty of Silviculture and Forest Engineering at the Transilvania University of Brașov. His research focuses on forest operations and timber harvesting systems, biomass for energy production, and modern measurement and optimization techniques. He actively contributes to advancing precision forestry through innovative technologies like LiDAR and virtual reality, as well as sustainable practices such as biomass energy assessment and environmental impact studies.

• Development of cost-effective LiDAR and smartphone-based tools for forest measurement.
• Evaluation of ergonomic and safety aspects in motor-manual forestry operations using OWAS method and machine learning.
