Steffen Schneider

Dr. Steffen Schneider is an Associate Professor at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, affiliated with the Graduate School of Systemic Neuroscience (GSN) and the Helmholtz Center Munich, Computational Health Center. His research focuses on developing machine learning algorithms for representation learning, nonlinear system dynamics, and neural interpretability in biological datasets.

His work spans dynamical systems, self-supervised learning, and identifiability theory, with a strong emphasis on compressing multi-modal data into foundation models and studying their mechanistic interpretability.
