Steffen Schlinker

Prof. Dr. Steffen Schlinker serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Würzburg's Faculty of Law since June 2014, with prior acting professorships at Berlin, Frankfurt, and Munich universities since 2007.

Education:

• Law degree from University of Würzburg
• Doctorate in Law (1998), awarded Böhlau Prize (2008)
• Habilitation (2007), awarded Pelkhoven Prize (2009)

Research Focus: Specializes in German and Bavarian Legal History, Civil Law frameworks, and Commercial Law applications, drawing from his foundational work at the Institute for German and Bavarian Legal History.

Professional Recognition:

• Böhlau Prize (2008) for doctoral dissertation
• Pelkhoven Prize (2009) for habilitation achievement

Prior to academia, Schlinker practiced law at a Hanover firm (1997-2001) and served as research assistant under Prof. Dietmar Willoweit (1991-1994).
