معرفی
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Steffen Jäger serves as Professor at Furtwangen University since 2018, where he heads the Powertrain and Machine Validation Laboratory (PMVL) and coordinates pre-study internships. His academic journey spans Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Purdue University, and industry entrepreneurship.
His research focuses on mechanical engineering validation methodologies, particularly for electric vehicle systems. Key areas include topology optimization of drivetrain components, lightweight construction in EV powertrains, vibration analysis (both virtual and physical), and quiet electric drive development through Project LeeAS. His work bridges computational simulation with physical testing in automotive applications.
Prof. Jäger teaches Machine Elements, advanced CAD/FEM courses using PTC Creo and ANSYS, CAx methods (1D simulation, nonlinear FEM, multi-body systems), and IHK-certified agile development management. He supervises student projects across undergraduate and graduate levels while leading laboratory-based research in powertrain validation. His industry experience includes co-founding OPVengineering GmbH, a KIT spin-off focused on engineering solutions.
