Dr Stefen MacAskill is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Griffith University and a Sustainability Consultant for WSP Engineering Consultants. He completed his PhD at Griffith University in 2021, focusing on sustainable development and green building practices.
His research intersects sustainable housing, green building certification schemes, and utility efficiency in buildings, with a particular emphasis on policy structures and sustainable finance models. Key collaborations include work with Professor Susanne Becken, Associate Professor Alexandra Coghlan, and Dr. Christopher Warren on a multi-year Australian Research Council (ARC)-funded project measuring energy, water, and gas consumption in global hotel operations.
