Stefanos Aretakis is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Toronto (St. George Campus) and the Department of Computer and Mathematical Sciences at the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC). His research focuses on the mathematical analysis of differential equations in general relativity, including black hole stability, characteristic initial data gluing, and scattering problems for the Einstein equations. He holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge (Trinity College, 2012) under the supervision of Mihalis Dafermos.
