Stefano Vassanelli is an Associate Professor of Physiology at the University of Padova, where he has led the Neurochip Laboratory since 2001. He serves as a Lecturer across multiple schools, including the School of Medicine, School of Bioengineering, School of Pharmacological Sciences, and Galilean School. His research focuses on high-density neural interfaces and brain microcircuit information processing mechanisms.

Research Interests span Multimodal Neuroimaging, Circuits and Cellular Neuroscience, and Computational Neuroscience, with translational applications in clinical and cognitive neuroscience. His work integrates advanced technologies like High-Density EEG and MRI & PET scanners for neurophysiological studies.
