Stefanie Boese is a Senior Lecturer in the College Writing Program at Washington University in St. Louis. She has been affiliated with the program since 2014 and holds a PhD in English from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Her doctoral research examined contemporary fiction and the impact of historical injury on modern discourse about global social and political injustice.
Dr. Boese teaches courses such as College Writing: Technology & Selfhood, British Literature, Literary Theory, and Composition. Her research has been published in journals including Studies in American Fiction, Journal of Modern Literature, and Critique.
Her teaching focuses on interdisciplinary approaches to technology, selfhood, and communication, emphasizing critical analysis of tools like writing, film, and social media in shaping societal interactions.
