Stefania Milan is a Professor of Critical Data Studies at the University of Amsterdam and a Faculty Associate at Harvard University's Berkman Klein Center. She also serves as a research associate within the Chair in AI & Democracy at the European University Institute’s School of Transnational Governance. Her work focuses on the intersection of digital technology, data activism, political participation, and governance, with particular attention to marginalized communities and global south perspectives.
Education: She holds a PhD in Political and Social Science from the European University Institute. Prior roles include positions at the Citizen Lab (University of Toronto), Tilburg University, and Central European University.
