Stefania Boccia serves as Full Professor of Hygiene, Preventive Medicine and Public Health at Catholic University of the Sacred Heart and IRCCS Fondazione Policlinico A. Gemelli (FPG) in Rome, where she holds the position of Deputy President of the Ethical Committee. Her academic leadership extends to editorial roles as Associate Editor for both the European Journal of Public Health and European Journal of Epidemiology, alongside serving on the Advisory Board of Lancet Regional Health - Europe.
Her research spans Public Health, Epidemiology, Preventive Medicine, Cancer Research (particularly colorectal cancer), and Non-Communicable Diseases, with significant contributions through large-scale collaborative projects. She currently leads three EU-funded initiatives (PROPHET, IC2PerMed, ExACT) and acts as Principal Investigator for seven additional EU projects plus numerous national research programs.
