Prof. Stefan Teufel is a Professor in Mathematical Physics at the University of Tübingen's Department of Mathematics, within the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. His research focuses on quantum dynamics, adiabatic theory, and topological insulators. He leads the Mathematical Physics group and contributes to collaborative research centers like CRC TR 352. Teufel has authored books on Bohmian mechanics and adiabatic perturbation theory, and his work bridges quantum mechanics with mathematical rigor. His teaching includes advanced courses on quantum theory and mathematical physics.
Research Interests: Adiabatic theory, semiclassical analysis, quantum field theory, topological effects in quantum systems, and rigorous models in quantum mechanics.
Publications: Over 100 peer-reviewed articles, including foundational work on adiabatic theorems, Wannier functions, and quantum waveguides. Recent focus areas include non-equilibrium states, thermalization, and spectral properties of quasicrystals.
Affiliations: Editor for Documenta Mathematica and Letters in Mathematical Physics. Member of the Center for Quantum Science Tübingen. Supervises graduate students in the Graduate School 1838.
