Stefan Persaud

Stefan Persaud is a Lecturer at Delft University of Technology's Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering, specializing in Sustainable Design Engineering and Design for Sustainability. He holds an MSc in Industrial Design Engineering and has over two decades of professional experience as a designer and educator. His research focuses on inclusive pedagogy, team dynamics, and educational innovation in design education.

Education: MSc Industrial Design Engineering (2001). Professional roles include design work at Easywalker, Anndus Walkabout Gear, Pastoe, and self-employment (2001-2006), followed by academic roles at Utrecht University, Rotterdam University, and TU Delft since 2006. He currently teaches the Bachelor Final Project course (DP5).

Research interests emphasize leveraging diversity in design teams, sustainable education practices, and innovative teaching methodologies. Recent projects include developing co-creative tools like 'Myrubric' for resilient learning communities and exploring productive failure pedagogy in mechanics education.

Recipient of the Delft Education Fellowship (2023) and Comenius Teaching Fellowship (2020), recognizing his contributions to educational reform and inclusive design pedagogy.
