Stefan Hüfner is an Adjunct Professor at the College for Music and Art, Folkwang University of the Arts, where he teaches Pop Composition, Pop Theory, and Combo Work since 2016. Previously, he worked as a part-time lecturer (Lehrbeauftragter) at the university from 1996 to 2008 and 2008 onwards in its current form as Folkwang Universität der Künste.
- Research areas include Pop Music, Jazz, Film Music, Theater Music, Musical Composition, and Advertising & Trailers.
- He is also a freelance composer, arranger, producer, musical director, and performing musician, notably leading the 10-member ensemble Stefan Hüfner’s ZAPPATA and the Bigband Bandfire.
- Collaborations span institutions like WDR/ZDF/ARD, Bayreuth Festival Orchestra, and artists such as Silvia Droste, Werner Neumann, and Herbert Knebels Affentheater.
