Stefan Albrecht

Stefan Albrecht is a Professor at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, affiliated with the Music school's Institute for Classical and Church Music in Kriens. Born in Brunnen in 1962, he comes from a musical family and holds professional diplomas in organ and choral conducting from the Academy for School and Church Music in Lucerne (1987). He further studied under Michael Radulescu (organ) and Karl Oesterreicher (orchestral conducting) in Vienna, and earned a concert diploma in organ with distinction from Lucerne University of Music in 1991.

His research and instructional focus encompasses choral conducting, score reading, church music traditions, orchestral direction, and organ performance. Since 1996, he has served as church musician in Brunnen, directing multiple ensembles including the Singkreis Brunnen, Orchester Brunnen, Orchester Schwyz-Brunnen, Urschweizer Kammerensemble, and Engadin Kantorei (since 1992).
