معرفی
Steen Thorbjørnsen is an Associate Professor at the Department of Mathematics, Aarhus University, specializing in free probability theory, probability theory, and random matrices. His work bridges classical probability with quantum probability frameworks.

Research Interests
His research focuses on free probability, where free independence replaces classical stochastic independence, particularly in quantum probability and large-dimensional random matrices. He explores asymptotic phenomena and applications in operator algebras, self-decomposable distributions, and Lévy processes.
Teaching
Since 2006, he has taught advanced courses in probability theory, stochastic calculus, and mathematical analysis.
Publications
His recent work includes studies on freely self-decomposable laws, Lévy mixing, and free Gamma distributions, alongside contributions to honor volumes like The Fascination of Probability, Statistics and their Applications (2016) and tributes to Uffe Haagerup.
