Starr Marcello is a prominent figure in entrepreneurship education and academic administration at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. As Deputy Dean for MBA and Masters Programs, she oversees full-time, evening, weekend, and executive MBA programs, including the Sokolov Executive MBA and specialized masters in Management and Finance. Additionally, she serves as a Special Advisor to the Provost, focusing on professional non-degree programs.

Marcello’s work centers on fostering entrepreneurial ecosystems, supporting student ventures through the Edward L. Her efforts have contributed to the success of startups like Grubhub, Braintree Venmo, and Simple Mills. Marcello is actively involved in Chicago’s tech and entrepreneurship community, serving on the board of 1871, a globally recognized incubator, and previously leading UChicago Impact, a K-12 education innovation initiative.
