معرفی
Stanley Pang is a Lecturer at Murdoch University, affiliated with the Centre for Biosecurity and One Health and the Harry Butler Institute. He holds a joint appointment in the School of Medical, Molecular and Forensic Sciences, College of Environmental and Life Sciences. His research focuses on antimicrobial resistance, molecular epidemiology, and zoonotic pathogens, with a particular emphasis on bacterial pathogens such as Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcus, and Escherichia coli. His work integrates genomic analysis, surveillance, and One Health principles to address public health challenges.
Research interests include:
- The evolution and transmission of antimicrobial-resistant bacteria in human and animal populations
- Molecular mechanisms of bacterial resistance
- Zoonotic pathogen ecology
- Genomic epidemiology of hospital-acquired infections
Recent studies highlight his work on:
- Clonal expansion of Staphylococcus aureus lineages with novel resistance genes (e.g., qacA)
- Zoonotic transmission of Corynebacterium ulcerans
- Genomic surveillance of Enterococcus faecium vancomycin resistance
No scientific awards are listed, and no advising/grant details are provided. He is part of collaborative networks addressing antimicrobial resistance through initiatives like the Australian Group on Antimicrobial Resistance (AGAR).
