Stanley Johnson

Stanley Johnson is an Instructor at Florida A&M University's School of Journalism & Graphic Communication. He holds a B.S. in Graphic Communication from FAMU (1997) and an M.A. in Photography from the Academy of Art University (2019). His academic roles include Visiting Instructor (2022–present), Adjunct Professor (2021–2022), and Elementary School Teacher (2020–2022). As an artist, he specializes in photography focused on social advocacy, with works exhibited internationally and recognized by awards such as the 2019 Academy of Art International Spring Showcase Second Place Award.

Johnson’s research interests span photography, graphic design, and visual communication, emphasizing positive social impact through art. His professional projects include fostering adoption via photography and producing the Artist of Color YouTube series. He teaches courses like Color & Color Theory and Foundation of Visual Communication.
