Stanley A. Appelbaum

Dr. Stanley A. Appelbaum serves as an Adjunct Clinical Professor at the Southern College of Optometry and operates Appelbaum Vision PC and Appelbaum Eye Care Associates, PC across Bethesda and Annapolis, Maryland, with over 20 years of clinical practice alongside occupational therapist Barbara Bassin.

His expertise spans infant vision development, visually related learning difficulties, special needs vision care, TBI/stroke rehabilitation, strabismus, amblyopia, and computer/sports vision demands, employing therapeutic lenses and vision therapy to resolve visual fatigue, reading disorders, and performance issues.

Certified as a Fellow of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD) and board-certified in Vision Therapy, he holds privileges at Maryland Adventist and National Rehabilitation Hospitals, integrates sensory occupational therapy into practice, and has presented workshops for educators and clinicians across DC, Maryland, and Virginia.
