Stadlmayr, Barbara

Barbara Stadlmayr is a Researcher at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna, affiliated with the School of Development Research. She joined the Center for Development Research (CDR) in 2015 and focuses on the intersection of agriculture, food systems, and nutrition.

• Current collaborations: World Agroforestry Centre in Nairobi (food trees for diversified diets)
• International coordination: Expert group on food composition issues with FAO colleagues

Her research emphasizes nutrition-sensitive agriculture, indigenous food systems, and food biodiversity to address diet quality in low-income regions. Prior to BOKU, she contributed to FAO's nutrition division by establishing national/regional food composition databases and conducting trainings.
