Stacy Wright is an Assistant Professor at the University of Missouri's School of Accountancy, where she teaches graduate-level internal auditing and introductory managerial accounting courses. With over 15 years of experience in the accounting field—including 10 years in audit roles and leadership positions such as Director of Compliance and Quality Control at the Missouri Department of Social Services, Director of Internal Audit for the University of Missouri System, and Director of Finance and Administration for the Trulaske College of Business—she bridges academic instruction with practical industry expertise.

Her research and professional interests focus on accounting education, particularly promoting internal audit through academic-industry partnerships. She currently serves as the internal audit education partnership coordinator for the School of Accountancy and as secretary and academic chair for the Central Missouri chapter of The Institute of Internal Auditors.
Previously, she held leadership roles in the Central Missouri chapter of The Institute of Internal Auditors, including three terms as president and three as a board member. Her career spans academic instruction, compliance, quality control, and administrative leadership in both public and university sectors.
