Stacy Nordquist

Stacy Nordquist serves as Dean of COAE, Director of Teacher Education, and Assistant Professor of Health and Physical Education at Oklahoma Panhandle State University, bringing over 20 years of experience in Health/Physical Education/Athletics Administration/Coaching. She holds leadership roles in academic governance and departmental management while maintaining active teaching responsibilities.

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Health, Physical Education and Recreation from Oklahoma Panhandle State University
• Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from University of Milwaukee-Wisconsin
• Doctoral Work: 18 Credit Hours in Kinesiology and Sports Management

Her research focuses on Coaching, Motivation, and Health, emphasizing transformative student engagement through practical application in physical education settings. This work integrates sports psychology principles with athletic pedagogy to enhance educational outcomes.

Professional recognition includes extensive university service as Faculty Athletics Representative, Athletics Academic Advisor, and Faculty Senate member. Prior leadership roles encompass Director of Corporate Relations for both the American Cancer Society and Special Olympics Minnesota.

Her advising philosophy centers on connecting with students to change life trajectories, supported by structured office hours (MW 9-10AM & noon-1PM; TR 10AM-2PM) and departmental oversight of the Health/Physical Education degree programs.
