Stacie Hooper is an Assistant Teaching Professor at University of the Pacific, based in Stockton, California. She holds a PhD and BS from University of California, Davis, and is dedicated to inspiring students through discovery-based learning in biology and behavioral ecology.

She studies alarm calls in rodents, vocal identity and genetic relationships in Belding’s ground squirrels, and the structure of dolphin whistles in collaboration with UC Davis and the SETI Institute. She also investigates the impact of anthropogenic noise on species like sage-grouse and humpback whales.
