Stacey R. Nutt

Dr. Stacey R. Nutt is Professor & Hipp Chair at The Citadel's Tommy and Victoria Baker School of Business, teaching financial accounting and business finance. Previously, he founded ClariVest Asset Management and grew it into a $10B institutional money manager based on his behavioral finance research. He holds a PhD from Georgia Tech and has industry experience as Director of R&D, Lead Portfolio Manager, and Managing Director.

His research focuses on behavioral finance applications in institutional investing. After selling his firm to Raymond James Financial, he returned to academia, previously teaching as an adjunct at College of Charleston before joining The Citadel full-time.
